Operating systems & rhythm
Planning cycles, meeting cadences, decision rights, and a single source of truth — so the business runs on a predictable heartbeat instead of heroics.
Fractional COO · Montréal & Remote
I'm the senior operator founders bring in to turn plans into operating rhythm, clear ownership, and measurable progress — without adding a full-time executive to payroll.
Who I am
Fifteen years turning ambiguity into disciplined execution — across consulting, technology, startups, and non-profits.
I've been a director of operations, a product and operations manager, and a business development lead. I've run an $800K operating budget, built company-wide OKRs and KPIs from scratch, partnered with boards, and led organisations through change — including a move to a four-day work week.
I lead complex, cross-functional work through influence rather than hierarchy. Founders trust me with the operational problems that sit between departments and never quite get owned.
Services
Planning cycles, meeting cadences, decision rights, and a single source of truth — so the business runs on a predictable heartbeat instead of heroics.
OKRs and KPIs built to fit how your team actually works, with automated weekly reporting and clear ownership behind every number.
Hands-on leadership of cross-functional initiatives spanning operations, finance, product, technology, vendors, and governance.
Onboarding programs, documentation, and process design that make knowledge a system rather than something locked in people's heads.
How I work
I map where execution breaks down — rhythm, clarity, ownership, data — and agree the two or three changes that matter most.
We build a lightweight operating model: the cadence, the metrics, the roles, and the tools to support them.
I run it alongside your team until it holds, then hand it over with the documentation to keep it.
Selected work
Cross-functional operations and product execution connecting executives, customers, engineering, sales, support, and external partners.
Introduced OKRs, KPIs, automated weekly reporting, and SOPs — accountability and decision-making measurably improved.
Organisation-wide operations, finance coordination, governance, and planning in a stakeholder-rich environment; an $800K operating budget, with additional funding secured.
Established company-wide OKRs, KPIs, and operating processes; led the transition to a four-day work week and a redesign of internal systems and workflows.
Operations and product initiatives coordinating clients, developers, payment partners, hardware vendors, and operating partners across multiple locations.
One operating cadence across sites, with clear ownership between partners.
What clients say
Chantale is an exceptional person. I was fortunate to have her on my team as an education manager — a role where her listening, leadership, empathy, analytical skills and judgment were all put to the test.
Chantale is a Swiss Army knife.
Just brilliant. She finds a way to get the job done, and communicates along the way.
Background
I run my practice, Practicis Strategies, from Montréal — working with clients on-site and remotely, in English and French.
Before consulting independently, I held operations and commercial leadership roles across software consultancies, a smart-locker technology company, an early-stage media startup, and a technology-sector non-profit. I've also spent time in business development — including a stint in New York building partnerships for a software consultancy.
I'm highly autonomous, comfortable reporting to executives and boards, and used to being the person who brings structure when there isn't any yet.
If execution is the thing holding your company back, a short call is the fastest way to find out whether I can help.
